Elite Clubs National League (ECNL)

KC Athletics joined the Girls' Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) in 2018 with the goal of providing the highest level of national and regional competition for our Academy Elite teams.  The ECNL was founded in 2009 and it is established as the country’s top development, identifications and competition platform for female players in the country.

The league is divided into eight (8) regionalized Conferences for U13 to U19 Girls teams.  KC athletics participates in the Midwest Conference along with Eclipse Select SC Solar (Chicago), Eclipse Select Lunar (Chicago), Elite Girls Academy (Omaha), FC Wisconsin (Milwaukee), Michigan Hawks (Livonia, Mi), Michigan Hawks Black (Livonia, Mi), Minnesota Thunder Academy (Minneapolis), SLSG– IL (St. Louis), SLSG-MO (St. Louis), Vardar (Detroit).

ECNL play is divided into:

  • Regular season Conference Play
  • National Showcases
  • ECNL Playoffs
  • ECNL National Championships

As well as competition platforms the ECNL also provides Player Identification opportunities through its innovative Conference Selection Programs and the National Selection Programs.

One of the biggest advantages of playing in the ECNL is its tradition of creating a direct path to college soccer.  The ECNL National Showcases are simply the best college showcase opportunities in the country.  Over 90% of graduating ECNL players move to college soccer every year!  The impact of ECNL players on collegiate soccer is impressive:

  • 111 All-Freshman Team Honors
  • 45 Player of the Year Awards
  • 159 All-Conference 1st Team Honors
  • 4,024 ECNL Alums on 2018 College Rosters
  • 16 Freshman Player of the Year Awards
  • 192 All-Conference 2nd, 3rd or HM Team Honors

The structure of the ECNL schedule allows players to play at the very highest levels with and against some of the country’s most talented players and still continue to represent their high school teams (if they so wish).

KC Athletics is proud member of the ECNL
